Foliage is the good old fashioned bedroom generated project by Manuel Joseph Walker out of San Bernardino, California. Attached below is his latest treat, It’s Time, a jangle upbeat piece of shoegaze with more than one watery eye.

The track comes off his upcoming third album, titled III accordingly. It is stamped with a release date in April and will be out on cassette via Slovakia’s great Z Tapes. Team Poule says, fierce.

The term anthropocene describes the current time in the history of nature and geology during which its development is largely influenced by human activities, such as the extraction and burning of fossil fuels, or this new single by German powerhouse Creams. Their latest single does leave a quite positive footprint on nature and its surroundings though, with dreamy riffs, a high speed melody and a healthy does of reverb. It comes off their very sustainable new album Olympic II that is out now, via Hidden Structures and Sportklub Rotter Damm.

Better still, the group is currently out and about, leaving their mark on mother Earth on their European tour, playing tunes in Germany, France, Poland, the Baltics as well as Switzerland in the progress, ignoring national borders and jurisdictions, much like climate change. Team Poule says, hang in there.

Like casually running into a dear old friend on the street, dreamy Hibou has sled forward with new tunes under his wings. Attached below is Fall Into, a dark shoegaze-fused hot ball of dream pop. It comes alongside its official video featuring all sorts of patterns, colours, flowers and Mr. Hibou himself.

The track then is a guidepost to his upcoming album Something Familiar which is scheduled for roll-out on March 2nd, via the great Barsuk Records, and comes with a handful of tour dates, taking Hibou to Seattle, Stockton, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland in March. Team Poule says, go get em.

Moisturizing tunes by way of Brooklyn, New York. Balsam is the latest track by Draigh, who remains a secret, a hazy shadow. Balsam lures you right in though, lush and intriguing, and ultimately exciting. You can almost see this being produced in a bedroom somewhere in Bushwick. Team Poule says, just let go.

Newmen are a group that call home to Frankfurt, Germany, usually putting a rather poppy and enjoyable blend of new wave on the table. For the new single Kool Killer they switched off the microphones and go purely instrumental. The hypnotic product is attached below and comes in the form of an 8 minutes-plus joyride of dreamy riffs, psychedelic electronic beats and a tropical flute that is hard to ignore, pure grooves. They have an EP out out that is called Fond On Pond. Team Poule says, I see what you did there.

So Montreal’s Young Galaxy have been a constant source of good vibes at Poule headquarters, not least since their great album Shapeshifting from 2011, which ultimately put them on the radars. And it seems their vibes have kept expanding since.

Attached below is their latest gem Under My Wing, and it is a good one, showcasing the band’s new independence, who have announced a new and to be self-released album Down Time with a delivery date in April. Team Poule says, freedom is independence.
