Tropical and African lo-fi blending quartet Kalaha out of Denmark released the epic and award winning album Masala last year. After successfully competing at the Danish Music Awards Jazz in the category “Special Release” in December, the team is now happy to share some live footage for their new video to Nguni, depicting the many sides of touring in a band.

The music video was directed by Jonas Elmer, editing by Jesper Bækdal, camera by Alexander Behrang Keshtkar & Kalaha, live camera credits go to Johan Meding Nagstrup and additional colour grading was performed by Jonathan David Damborg.

Nguni is the third and final single off Masala, which has just been repressed on vinyl. The group is also working on a new EP to come out later this year, and they have just been confirmed to play Boomtown in England this summer. If you are based in and around Denmark you needn’t even wait so long! The team will be live in Hillerød this Friday, 23rd, and in Copenhagen at Vinterjazz the day after. Hop aboard!

Germany’s fine ears at Majestic Casual Records have put forth this dreamy pitch. Bad Moon is the latest single by Ardency, a steaming duo out of Los Angeles. The track is an electronically-fused homage to the weight of sadness and that feeling of seeing light at the end of the tunnel. It’s the last track written for their new EP The Ones That Miss Me that came out this month. Team Poule says, team up in times of sadness.

Mad riffs and dreamy reverb by way of Toronto’s La Rose. Enough is his latest single and comes just in time for the hazy days of winter. Lush melodies and meandering drums that take you right into a red sports car convertible dashing down highway one, electric sports car, of course.

And not only that, a new record by the name of Same Hell has just been published by Pale Blue Records, just now. Team Poule says, get your hands on that.
