Sudbury, Ontario is a lovely place – not sure if you are an avid reader of the local newspaper Sudbury Star but surely you didn’t miss those ads these guys bought in a weekend edition last month. Featuring them riding their quad bikes through the woods. Topless. Expectedly, the lads in The Almighty Rhombus swear those allegations are false. Who wouldn’t!
Now, maybe I made part of that up. However, the self-proclaimed “supergroup” has released a fantastic EP: packed with pure and straight forward pop rock – with a sort of college boy’esque Chester French feel to it. Attached is the great opener She Didn’t Want Me. Snag the entire EP on bandcamp. They are also busy laying finishing touches on their debut full-length album which will be out this summer – it’s a win-win.
