over_sandsAh some real nice bliss coming in late in the week. Over Sands are allegedly based between an isolated beach house and the London railway arch – at least that’s where this piece below is said to have been recorded with a timetable on hand to capitalize on the gaps between the train that would secure a clean take. Imagine that.

Said track is New Year and naturally attached below. The second single taken off their debut EP which is self-titled, mind you, and out November 20th on B3SCI. The launch party is going down in London on the 25th, so if you are in town get behind that.

asbjornDanish dream catcher Asbjørn has been a constant on our radars. His new album Pseudo Visions has been out since March and it’s a pop kids dream come true actually. Having signed with Sinnbus recently, Asbjørn is now ready to embark on a grand European tour making a stop at good old Hamburg next week when he plays Kleiner Donner on Tuesday Nov. 3rd. Naturally Team Poule has reached out and managed to secure 2×2 tickets for the occasion who are now waiting to be yours. All you have to do is comment on this post with whatever you always wanted to tell Team Poule. The winners will be drawn on Monday Nov. 2nd – 9am straight.

Meanwhile, attached below is the latest gem from the chap: Scandinavian Love. And if you are in two mind about commenting – just know that there are fews things in life that Asbjørn enjoys more than onesies and dancing. Hit it, and find more dates here.

surf_rock_is_deadIf there is one thing Team Poule cannot get enough of, it’s cheese. And blurry guitar riffs. One of those is being served quite perfectly by New York duo Surf Rock is Dead. The two have them hail from Melbourne and Chicago – and quite luckily decided to give their little project a public go because that EP they just put out is among the best dream pop’y tunes camp Poule has seen in a while. Reason enough to take a closer look and see what they are all about. Look and see is just right, here we go for a new photo-interview.

Attached below is Anymore – the first track of their great EP titled SRiD. There you go.

Duck HouseHoochie mama! Sir Duck House is back on the scene with a handful of releases lined up under his wings. Closer is the newest gem and features his trademark washed out guitar style and laid back disco groove along with his soothing, distinct vocals. And even though you are not supposed to judge no book no album no single by its cover, Duck House’s artwork in its simplicity, colours and setup are just beautiful, pushing the overall feel on this. As did his latest treat Tether.

Both songs come off his new self-titled EP which will be put out by Meno Records. Meanwhile, catch him playing live Nov 30th in Manchester at Columns Festival and 31st in London at Mirrors Festival. It’s festival season in the UK! In November he will be playing Leeds on 2nd and Cardiff on the 6th. Get behind that. Closer is attached below.

Kitsune (1)Parisian slash Japanese power house Kitsuné just released the mighty seventh edition of their Maison Compilation. Good news eh! Subtitled The World Wild Issue, the compilation is running at a jungly 17 songs that meander smoothly between all ends of the electronic music spectrum. It’s a thing with these Kitsuné Compilations. In their tenth year they have become something like the James Bond movie of music samplers: achingly beautiful, featuring a classy selection and being all around gentlemen. Attached below is the minimix of the compilation, the trailer if you want, by Jerry Bouthier. Check out the first brilliant single by Danglo here.

darkstarLike the sound of that? Well, wonder no more. UK ensemble Darkstar have come a long way over the years and with their third studio album now out in the open, they are scheduled to come back to play a few songs on a Hamburg stage. Not just any stage, the shiny new stage at Häkken, Hamburg’s latest venue and recently host to the Spotify newcomers at Reeperbahn Festival a couple of weeks ago.

Naturally, Team Poule has your back on this and we managed to get our feathery hands on not one but 2×2 tickets to the show on Friday next week, October 16th. All you have to do to win one of them is comment on this post and tell us which Darkstar song really gets your chakra going. The winners will be drawn on Thursday 15th at noon, 12pm CEST straight.

Attached below is Stoke The Fire, the latest gem off Darkstars highly rated new album Foam Island, out now on Warp Records.
