thomas_crystalTunes, smooth as silk coming in from Philadelphia by way of Stockholm this time. Thomas Crystal just dropped this curve ball of a summer night song on his Soundcloud – along with an EP going by the brilliant name of Tinders which is up for streaming on bandcamp. Look out to be tindered this summer.

SPOT Festival 2015: Wangel

wangelGet your oven gloves out for this one because Wangel will be an absolute steamer to watch in Aarhus this week. The gentleman just released his debut EP titled Eternal History on Copenhagen’s Playground Music. A five track parade, as delicate as an antelope while as powerful as one of Ali’s winger. Stream the piece over at Spotify. Attached is the phenomenal single Seoul.

Wangel secured himself a slot at prime time Saturday night, playing Musikhuset Filuren at 22h30.

blvthMain man BLVTH returns with one of his ultra slow, ultra vast reworks. Pop star Rihanna is the object of choice this time and BLVTH single handedly turns the pop track into an ice cold, deep synths space whale, right pon de replay with this one. Snack more on his Soundcloud.

SPOT Festival 2015: Pool

POOLHamburg, where The Beatles played first. And here come casual Hamburgers Pool and with them a pounding indie pop sound and a guitar that makes all the difference – and a range of highly questionable press shots, shirtless, in pastel coloured suits. But let’s not hold that against them. They do sport a quite pastel coloured and refreshing sound making them a sizzling hot tip for Spot Festival in Aarhus. Pool and Hamburg and Hamburg and Poule. What more could you want really. Pool will be playing Radar on Satuday, 20h30.

Attached is their sleak produced new single State Of Mind: lebensbejahend as it gets. And not only that, the trio will also continue a full-on German tour in June along with gigs at Melt Festival and Dockville this summer. Gonna a Pool summer for sure. Their debut album Snacks & Supplies is out now.

SPOT Festival 2015: For Akia

for-akiaHere is the hot tip for SPOT Festival in Aarhus this week: Danish trio For Akia apparently formed well over two years ago – and have yet to release anything but a Youtube video, which technically isn’t even a video. However, When I Come Home does do things to you only the great ones manage to achieve: a very uplifting mix of disco and tropicana and pure pop vibes. Should be a great one to see in Aarhus.

For Akia will be playing SCC Minor on Friday, 22h00.

SPOT Festival 2015: First Hate

firsthate-spot-small_mediumAgain, an absolutely brilliant line-up awaiting music lovers in Aarhus next week, when SPOT Festival is opening is long arms. One hot tip includes First Hate. The duo from Copenhagen might not look overly excited about it all but judged by their recorded material, this will be a gig not to miss. They released a brilliant, sort of tropical and light EP last year and now new songs start trickling out of their laboratory. Attached is their latest gem, a quite dark and dreamy number titled Warsawa featuring their trademark deep vocals.

First Hate will be playing Radar on Friday, 22h00.
