Eeeek – main man Blvth is taking business to a whole new level with his new gem. Suicidal Ice is taking timeless classics by Biggie and ice cold 21st century synths, turning something very familiar into something altogether new and ultimately breath taking. So smooth.
Team Poule loves a good indie rock vibe with a poppy edge to it. Casually marching above are Mainland out of Brooklyn. The quartet has been around since 2013, mostly spending their days on tour supporting a couple of big names and releasing no less than three EPs. Here now comes their latest single that will be nicely stuck in your head all day titled Outcast along with the promise of a debut album to be released in early 2016.
That’s that. And because everyone loves a nice photo, it is a great pleasure to do the tenth photo-interview of an ongoing series with these guys above. It is unclear whether Corey, Alex and Dylan here are escorting Jordan to his motorcycle or if Jordan is the only one wearing a helmet on his bike. One will never know for sure. We do know however that they went the extra mile and took some great photos, take it away Mainland.
Palmy air, smooth waves around your ankles and a cooling sea breeze in your face. Swedish duo Death In The Afternoon have got a new song out and it was well worth the wait. 82 is a sun drenched dream pop banger of a summer hit. The two just played a gig in Nice in the south of France and you can really imagine this track working quite well under the Riviera skies. A new is in the making too, and meanwhile Stockholm’s Sommarhjärta is going to release 82 in August, on the 28th. Nice play on numbers.
French uberpoppers Air Bag One have been inside their studio for sometime and after a stint at SXSW back in March they are busy touring the United States these days. Attached below is their latest gem, Killing Stars. Smooth vibes, flawless production and as catchy as the summer flu. See them in San Francisco, July 31st. Their new EP Rich Kids is scheduled for release in October.
That moment when you are at a concert and the music is quite experimental in a way that they are messing around with synths and a drum set and a bass guitar like a lot of bands are these days and you stand there holding on to your beverage, tipping on your toes and losing yourself in the sound which makes it a sort of psychedelic experience – and here comes the but – but not in a way that it slows you down and takes you away, making you dreamy, instead it’s really energetic and powerful and invigorating. It was an absolute charm watching Love-Songs play a full-on set a couple weeks ago. 40 minutes without breaks, all just one smooth wave taking its path. Beautiful. Check this: Cole and Shpresa met on SoundCloud and their musical attraction to one another quickly turned into something more and it wasn’t long before the two began a “Skype relationship”. Fast forward five months to June 2012, Shpresa, being from Stockholm, flew over to Minnesota to meet Cole in Minneapolis. She stayed for two months, then the couple returned to Sweden. One year later they got married and, now residing in Stockholm, they are working eagerly to release their debut album as Flora Cash. Attached below is their brand new video for the catchy single Save Me, written and directed by Lukasz Pytlik in Warsaw.
Reason enough for Team Poule to investigate into their lives and games a little bit more to see what Cole and Shpresa are all about.
