jyldaHiding, in the shades, is Berlin’s own JYLDA. And she came packing heavy, with her new single Superficial up the sleeve – not pictured above – and mind you, it’s another one of those Poule d’Or exclusives! Superficial nicely continues her musical sort of Bond theme’esque journey. A truly grand sound. And, also hidden in the shadows, are the bits and pieces sampled on this one, from the buzzing of a scooter, the clunking of a construction site to the rustling of trees, JYLDA states about the recording process – so keep those ears peeled. The track itself then, tells the story of your average inner struggle, about being hard on yourself and your own achievements. Sound familiar? Team Poule says, you are not alone.

still_paradeDid you know that a flock of crows is known as a murder? Crazy, right? Speaking of murder. Still Parade reportedly murdered it at SXSW last month and now have a new song out: Chamber came out last week and would even make a flock of crows blush. The track comes off their highly anticipated debut album Concrete Vision, out June 3rd. Now, in the meantime, catch their flying circus at Hamburg’s mad Häkken on May 20th, right before their album release show June 7th in Berlin. Team Poule says, crows huh, where did that come from?

duellumRed hot new gem by French super group Duellum. After hitting it in the studios for while, the quartet ecstatically returns with a new song Conakry – and it comes with appealing visuals which are attached below, at your convenience. Directing on this piece of film were gentlemen Samuel Charmont, Pierre Hessemans and Matthieu Ravet, so hat-tip to them!

Conakry then, for you geographically inclined, is the name of the capital in Guinea and according to Duellum the new track is part of a project inspired by West Africa, Moh Kouyaté and the Bembeya Jazz. Conakry will be out digitally and on a limited vinyl pressing tomorrow, and be sure to catch them as part of a larger extravaganza at Paris’ Point Ephemere this Saturday for Record Store Day. This summer they are confirmed to play Odelart Festival in Clamart, and Saint-Rock Festival in La Clayette. Team Poule says, vive la France!

tennis_courtsideIt’s just about the mid of the week and what better way to start this second half of the first half of year than with an all new collection of musical delights, curated by your own Team Poule. This new mix features a brand new remix by Swedish sensation IAMBEAR for Summer Heart and a new song by Danish rock and roller Wangel. More so, you will find your new favorite in Men I Trust, alongside Cults/Guards-offspring Follin and old mates Work Drugs.

All of the above and more, nicely strapped together, in a Soundcloud playlist, attached below, at your convenience. Team Poule says, let them fly.

jane_fondaAnother month, another Ja Ja Ja du jour. The cozy Nordic club host is inviting you to their next stint at Hamburg’s Molotow next week, April 13th. On the ticket are the ever amazing CTM, the spheric Gundelach and Hollywood actress Jane Fonda. The latter was voted #21 in a 100 Sexiest Stars in film history by Empire Magazine in 1995, ranked 32rd on a list the Greatest Movie Stars of all times by Premiere Magazine a mere ten years later and is currently touring with her new band. Their latest single Family Man is attached below, quite the crooner this one. Team Poule says, hit that clarinet Jane.

consolers-press-1Did you know that a hedgehog’s heart beats 300 times a minute? That is on average, hedgehog minding his own business. A good 5 times per second. Quite the rave. Coming in a little under 300 bpm is this red hot new gem by Hannover ensemble Consolers. A lovely indie fused piece that is sure to make your heart beat up a notch. Their debut EP Astronaut Babies is to be released, soon. Team Poule says, keep em coming Hannoveraners.
