The illustrious group of Swedes above goes by the name of Two Year Vacation and just celebrated the release of their debut LP, energetically titled Slacker Island. The album serves a refreshing spin of indie pop, bursting with rich drums, sunny warmth and tip-toed pizza-themed entendres. Their latest bouncy exhibit is attached below in the form of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.
The group has successfully lined up a string of German dates to celebrate the occasion. Hamburg is penciled in with Monday, Apr 22nd, with Dresden, Munich, Berlin and more immediately after. Find all dates nicely listed here. Slacker Island is out now via the great Clouds Hill.

Nothing is forever but it doesn’t really matter does it. Modern Pleasure here certainly don’t seem to mind, serving up their very infinite new single Foreva in anticipation of their upcoming album Goodbye Chanel. Less a tribute to old mate Karl but rather a timely take on the paths of life and its many avenues, with this group of musicians firmly rising from the ashes of the acclaimed Leeds ensemble going by that same name that came to a halt in 2016.
Now being spread all over the world, from North Yorkshire to Tokyo, and having become fathers, university lecturers, professional singers, the band maintained their desire to write, record and finish the material they had started and as such spent 2018 sending ideas and stealing moments when possible to create the album they had always intended to make. Goodbye Chanel then will be the only album the group is to put out, they made that clear.
It’s more than a coming-of-age story though, but “a journey through youth and the ends of innocence” as they phrase it. Who couldn’t relate to that. Especially when it all comes wrapped in lush riffs, hazy reverb and a pure sunset mood. Foreva is attached below, and Goodbye Chanel is stamped with a release date later this year.

The Swedish fruit loops of Melby have lined up an impressive chain of singles over the past months and just added the mellow new Dancer to their public repertoire last week. It all happens in great anticipation of their debut album None of this makes me worry which is due April 12 via the peachy Rama Lama Records.
Their latest is attached below, and the quartet actually just embarked on a European tour, presenting their new LP to a wider audience. They will be playing Hamburg, Berlin and Munich first week of April, then they’re off to Stockholm, London, Bratislava, Malmö and fair old Gothenburg. Quite a ride!

Pure grooves coming in straight from Tel Aviv, Israel. Tutu Atrash here is a producer duo traveling deep into the sounds of the Middle East, digging, collecting, and combining it all to create an ultimately modern and worldly electronic sound. Their new EP titled Medjool Dreamz just came out via Camel Riders.
The gliding opening track It Went Too Far Girl is attached below, a smooth piece of production, nicely building up over almost 6 minutes for a perfect twilight soundtrack, be it on Sunset Blvd, the roofs of Tel Aviv or Downtown Shibuya. The whole EP is a banger, out now on Spotify too.
Iceland’s restless electro dreamers of Vök have added a second album to their discography on March 1st. In The Dark is a smooth and mature piece of recording that nicely builds on their delicate sense for songwriting and when to put your foot down. The album was written and recorded in between Reykjavik (spelling!) and Notting Hill, and if you listen closely you can hear a small time book store aesthetic right through. The current single and title track is attached below, easily accessible.
Now, the trio are taking this beaut on a European tour as we speak, making a stop in Hamburg’s Knust on April 2nd.
