Parisian drum-poppers Kiki and Guigui also known as Total Warr released their second EP Please Never Come Back Again on iTunes and once again present the most brilliant and compelling tunes. The EP features the aforementioned Please Never alongside three fantastic new songs. Guigui recently explained track three Pleasure is the Death of Desire to Aol. Spinner:
“So we wrote this track on a very sunny day in Paris at Kiki’s place. We wanted people who listen to the track to feel the heat, that feeling when the sun burns your skin. We started with this idea of combining the sweetest melody and at the same time the worst lyrics ever. So we picked up hardcore album’s names like Arkangels, Kickback, Integrity and ended up with this sweet chorus lyrics: “I hope you die by overdose”

Apparently Germany Germany and Steffaloo had a lot of fun working together on the song Just Go for Germany Germany’s latest LP Adventures. They recently announced the launch of their very own project Toy Camera. So far their bandcamp page only features one track, but word on the street is there will be more this fall. Much like Just Go, Germany Germany’s ace production skills work in perfect harmony with Steffaloo’s beautiful vocals.
In related news, Steffaloo’s new album will be out on vinyl in August through JAXART and Germany Germany will start his European tour in Paris in two weeks – check his dates.

Gotta admit that I somewhat slept on these guys’ debut EP from last year. However the London trio that goes by the name of GET PEOPLE is prepping the release of their sophomore EP Rain Tears right now. Got a little sneak peak into it already and was pretty blown away. Away is also the title of the first single off of Rain Tears and its electronic/tropical pop rhythm is right up my alley. Grab Away for free and stream the title track Rain Tears on soundcloud. London’s lovely band My Tiger My Timing, cornerstone of three Poule d’Or compilations (3,4 & 7), released a brand new track off their upcoming debut album. Endless Summer is just what its title promises: a light good mood summer pop song with the distinctive Tiger flavor to it. Catch them at Glastonbury next week, more dates here. French bon vivants Alexis and Mederic also known as BeatauCue released a minimix of their upcoming EP Falcon Punch which will be out June 27th on Kitsuné. Pure french electro at it best.
