Boston’s vivid indie quartet and Poule d’Or 4 graduate Camden are back with a great new EP. Totally Fine dropped last week and features three all new songs, recorded as a live band in a studio. Free download on bandcamp, limited edition vinyl out through Cash To Mouth Records. They played a nice show in their hometown last weekend, see: video.
Found this sweet track by elusive Manchester quartet T H E S L O W D O W N in my inbox the other day. Straight forward alternative kind of rock, nothing ultra special or revolutionary, but still very well worthwhile. And when they say elusive, they mean it: no website, no twitter, no nothing, just this video. Elusive is sort of what they do up in Manchester..
New York quartet ohnomoon are sharing their first recorded song Sleeping Limbs. They serve a very enjoyable indie rock song that reminds a bit of Best Coast, although the lovely vocals give it a much softer touch: protect me from what I waaaant. They have a couple of shows scheduled for the summer, check the dates on their website.
Gotta admit that I skipped out of the video after about 30 seconds at first, but the melody got stuck in my head and I turned back to it. Good thing I did because the song only really takes off after the first minute or so. Listen. Fresh sounds, like actually really fresh. Show them some love.
