drewharrisSunday delights by our oldest friend: Germany Germany. Apollo: Drew Harris’ latest gem, right in his trademark electronic production vein. It had gotten a bit quiet around Germany Germany lately – or maybe Team Poule just wasn’t looking.. either way, it’s great listening to him again. One of the best.

He also released a remastered version of his instant classic album Last Summer this week – free for download here. Drew is like 22 years old or something and already has this wealthy history of great releases to look back on. Lose yourself in his bandcamp page.

20130215-124904.jpgNew York’s enchanting duo Junior Prom shared a track on Poule d’Or 10 and now finally released their debut EP. 5 great electropop songs, sort of in the Friendly Fires vein. Loving it. Just read through the track list and you’re already entertained: Sheila Put The Knife Down. Shoot The Guitar Player. That is prime stuff right there. So now listening to their great self-titled EP Team Poule is somewhat shocked to see they only attract a mere 189 fans on the facebook – which as you know is the only true gauge of popularity.

Still, they still seem to fly under the radar while they’d probably be appealing to a much bigger audience. Their EP is out now for free on their bandcamp page – and of course you can still grab them on Poule d’Or 10 via that shiny side bar to your left. Attached is Sheila Put The Knife Down – the EP’s opening track.

employee_of_the_yearDe neuf coming our way from electro lala-land that is Paris, France. Employee Of The Year might not have the most catchy of all names, however their music is rather forward and enjoyable. The duo released a nice little EP in October and last month posted this charming remix of Wild Belle’s It’s Too Late. Taken.

Happy Valentine’s from Poule HQ – we love you. Like, actually. It’s never too late.

polytype_by_stevepetersUtah’s Polytype just released their debut album – an enticing mix of Radiohead-esque minimal electronic production and fuzzy warm guitar riff. Really a great winter soundtrack. Maybe you already heard their first single Refract. Basic//Complex is the title track, more on the Thom Yorke end of their sound, ace stuff. Get the album directly through the band, here.

And how about that photo from their release party – looks like an epic setup. Hat tip to photographer Steve Peters.

AIH Postcard ClubOne of my favorite indie labels out there Art Is Hard started a really exciting series called The AIH Postcard Club. They’ll release a song every couple of weeks and for 1 GBP plus postage you can basically buy the download link – BUT, and here comes the kicker, they’ll send you the download code in a handy postcard format. Which is pretty much the cutest idea. Loving it. Sign up > here.

They plan to do 16 of these this year – first one is by the amazing Au.Ra from Sydney (who we covered here before). Their new song is warm and fuzzy and lovely: Morning, hit play.

little daylightAhh – semi dropped the ball on this. Little Daylight sent around this banging track of theirs last week and expectedly it sort of went through the roof. Up and out. Great song. So, from the top of the hypem-charts > here goes Little Daylight. Overdose. Sing along.
