Danish wonder-label Tambourhinoceros seems to be effortlessly producing great releases. This is their latest offering: The New Spring. Flawless folkpop by Bastian Kallesøe. He released his solo debut two years ago and now the follow-up Secret Armor is about to his stores April 29th.

Secret Armor comes packed with smooth guitar-led folk songs that easily provide your soundtrack to a late night by the fire at the beach – and everything that happens after. And you know how much we love long walks on the beach (and vinyl) here at Poule HQ – so we got out hands on a sealed copy which (drumroll) YOU can win.

A vinyl recording, for the younger ones, is like a giant CD. A CD is sort of what happens when you push print in iTunes. I think. Anyway, to WIN this badboy – Secret Armor (vinyl) by The New Spring – all you have to do is write an email to grandprize (at) pouledor.com and hope for the best! It would be really wise to include a postal address in your email, and maybe some compliments (optional). The winner will be drawn (by random.org – thank you) on Wednesday April 24th, 7pm CET.

wyomingHallelujah! Some fine tunes coming our way from the heart of Germany: Wyoming hailing from Lorch. Had to google that, and Lorch sounds quite like the German equivalent of the state Wyoming. Phonetically, it’s quite a beaut too. Lorch. Anyway, off topic. The trio has a new EP out titled Fountain with three songs, dreamy indie pop at its finest. And do check their website, see what happens to the banner photo when scrolling down? Loving that. It’s the little things hey.

Attached is Afterword, hear those infectious riffs! Brilliant. The whole EP is well worth being checked out too though, so click through. Now, not sure where to draw the line to Joy Division here – BUT that artwork clearly is rendering an homage to the great Brits.

Actually, quick check with the band: it’s a piece by Danish artist Hvass&Hannibal and is supposed to mirror the mood of the EP: the steady movement of flowing water, a current in a river or stream. Fair enough then, hit play before the tides comes in.

alexandria2Rough dreamy riffs, crooning vocals, summer nights. Stockholm’s Alexandria released a new song last month: Whatever is quite spectacularly meandering through dreamy soundscapes – with that impeccable charm of a demo recording. Brilliant. Word on the street is, the five lads are busy recording more songs. In the meantime, snag this one for free.

Saber_Exercises,_Crow_Indian_Troop_1st_Cavalry,_Ft._Custer_Montana_1892Ahh Goodbye Chanel is such a raw diamond. He released a handful of songs a year ago – and then, nothing much happened after that. Until this badboy came out last month. Abzarokee Springs has these brilliant riffs, it’s an absolute pleasure. 5 minutes 4 seconds of bliss. Hit play.

Absarokee by the way, actually is in Montana and judged by a quick google image search the sunsets can be quite spectacular. Even though, sunsets usually are. Here is a bit of Absarokee trivia for you: the first post office was established on December 16, 1892, Sever Simonson served as the postmaster. You’re welcome historians.

kissesKisses are back – maybe sounding better than ever. Huddle is the second single off their upcoming second album Kids In LA, out May 14th on Cascine and Splendour. Meet me in the middle girl, meet me in the huuuddleee. Happy tunes. Kisses save the day. Again. Much love.

Now, Denai Moore is something special. This is a live (obviously) recording of her latest single Part IV off her upcoming debut EP Saudade. If you haven’t caught the first single Gone – look here. Actually beautiful. It’s the kind of music that gets its own category on Disco Naivete, you know I’m right Jarri.

The entire EP is just wonderful, out May 22nd on Because Music. Stay tuned.
