Copenhagen ensemble The Attic Sleepers just released their debut EP Lanquin last month and it couldn’t be a better soundtrack to this month of February. A perfect dreamy and laid back composition of soft riffs and warm vocals.
Now, before The Attic Sleepers were The Attic Sleepers they travelled Central America for four months, collecting memories, making new friends, and then decided to make music together while hanging out in the little town of Lanquin in Guatemala. A town that is famous for its large cave complex. Attached is Airport, the first single of their debut.

The voice of Copenhagen, Lisa Alma, is busy readying the release of her second album Sweater. Here comes Man, the fantastic dreamy first single. A warm and soft piece of Danish pop music that has everything a good driver song would need. Get on that road, sit back and hit the pedal.

Sweet baby Jesus. Danish electro pop wonders Rangleklods unleashed the first single off their upcoming new album Straightjacket. And oh-my. Lost U does not let you down one bit. The new vocal composition really does the trick and would you please check the brilliant intro on this. Phenomenal.
Rangleklods are also about to embark on a larger worldwide tour, playing SXSW next month, Copenhagen in April and a range of German dates including Dortmund, Stuttgart, Berlin and Hamburg in May. Look out. Straightjacket will be out May 22 on the great Tambourhinoceros.
Lovers of a good Scandinavian vibe and sweet electro beats. The spanish all-time classic Sonár festival which is an annual extravaganza held in Barcelona has for the past few years broadened its reach into the more northern parts of Europe. In February and March Sonár stops in Reykjavik, Stockholm and Copenhagen to celebrate creative developments in both music and technology.
Next week, February 13-14th, Stockholm is hosting Sonár for the second time – and just scroll through the line-up and you will see that they mean business: SBTRKT, Jamie xx, Kindness, Zhala, Ryan Hemsworth and so much more. All nicely scheduled over the course of two days in Stockholm’s Waterfront Congress Center. If you were ever looking for an excuse to travel to Stockholm – this is it.
A fine grape in the line-up is Swedish ensemble DNKL. Beautiful dark electro beats with almost psychedelic vocals. Attached is Hunt off their latest EP Wolfhour. Tickets for Sonár run at a healthy 122 euros for both days – available here.
