The Fruhstucks are without a doubt one of my favorite bands this year. If you pay any attention to what Poule d’Or is about, you will know why. Their EP ‘Parade, I Don’t Care’ became a crucial ingredient of every iTunes playlist I put together and it’s still spinning regularly. Magic Dust can be found on the fifth Poule d’Or mix too. Right now, Miguel and Sutja are mastering their vinyl debut which is to be released sometime in the first months of 2011 via Race Car Productions.

Nathan Willson from Victoria, Canada, makes experimental chiptronica under the moniker LAZERVISION. His debut EP with the curious title “Floccinaucinihilipilification” was just released through Distorted Disco Records. Like everything else on DDRecords, it’s a free download and thus a bargain you don’t want to miss out on.
Chiptronica sounds exactly the way you think it would sound: a peculiar mix of electronic sounds and beeps and bleeps taken straight out of Donkey Kong 64. The whole EP is awesome, stream the brilliant “Magic Wand” below:
