What a lovely surprise sitting in my inbox today: Lonely Day is a beautifully produced dreamy electronic sort-of ambient track by alleged Paris-resident Waterwalls. Perfect soundtrack for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Forget Italians, French do it better. Here comes Equateur, two Parisian lads Romain and Charles diffusing a very nice mélange of 80’s new wave and modern pop. Haunted is the first single off their upcoming debut EP Aquila which will be out later this year. Turn it up. The start of their creative journey comes with a video too, watch.

Manhattan’s Cultfever released their self-titled debut album in November last year and it somehow only made it onto the Poule d’Or radar today. J. Peter Durniak and Tamara Jafar “conceived of the album as a series of cinematic vignettes rather than trying to focus the project around a narrowly tailored theme.” – obviously.
