The rather elusive super group of Domenique Dumont is set to play a few rare live shows across the European peninsula this month. Their sound connects the dots between the clear cut aesthetics of the Baltics and the savoir vivre of the Grande Nation while maintaining a sense of mystery about the exact coordinates. They are said to be a collaboration between multi-instrumentalist and producer Arturs Liepins, vocalist and ethnomusicologist Anete Stuce and (perhaps) an artist from France whose existence is neither confirmed nor denied. Exactly what they want you to think..
The group already lists three brilliant albums in their discography spanning more than a decade, and just added a fourth album last year, titled Deux Paradis, via Parisian power house Antinote. The album feels like a dreamy kind of crisp sunny morning in the tropics. Find the great track Bonjour Tristesse attached below – you can also find this track – and many more – on the frequently updated official Poule d’Or playlist, available on Apple Music and Spotify.
They are set to play Bordeaux, Stockholm, Tartu, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Basel and Milano within the next few weeks – so buckle up and get ahead of this. All dates and venues are nicely listed below, and here on their website.
