Best new artist award 2010. Countless releases, new sound each time, never boring. Last Summer stands for all of Germany Germany’s releases. Fantastic. And for free.

1. Two Door Cinema Club – Tourist History

My number one, without a doubt. Got so much mileage out of this one. Two great concerts, too. Best album this year for me.

Closing remarks: Never fell in love with Beach House and Deerhunter. Foals, Arcade Fire are okay, yeah. The Drums’ album was good but it wore off surprisingly fast. Sleigh Bells?! Seriously?! Vampire Weekend’s Contra isn’t bad, never felt like actually listening to it though.

I also really enjoyed Futurecop! (It’s Forever Kids), Good Shoes (No Hope No Future), Hurts (Happiness / filed under: guilty pleasures), We Have Band (WHB) and Theophilus London (I Want You).
